Mold Remediation
Safe containment, removal, and prevention, keeping your family's air clean.
South Florida's heat and humidity make it one of the easiest places in the country for mold to take hold. After any water intrusion, a leak, a flood, or even high indoor humidity, mold can begin colonizing porous materials within 24–48 hours. Left alone, it spreads through walls, HVAC systems, and the air your family breathes.
EZR of South Florida provides IICRC-certified mold remediation: we contain the affected area, remove the mold safely, address the moisture source that caused it, and verify the work, so the problem doesn't simply come back a month later. As a Florida-licensed mold remediator (MRSR4336) and mold assessor (MRSA4251), we're qualified to handle both the inspection and the removal to state standards.
Our Mold Remediation Process
Inspection & Moisture Source
We identify visible and hidden mold and, just as important, the moisture problem feeding it. Remediation without fixing the source is temporary.
Containment
We seal off the work area with containment barriers and negative air pressure so spores aren't spread to clean parts of your home during removal.
Air Filtration
HEPA air scrubbers and filtration capture airborne spores throughout the remediation process.
Removal & Cleaning
Affected porous materials are removed and disposed of safely; salvageable surfaces are HEPA-vacuumed, cleaned, and treated with antimicrobials.
Drying & Prevention
We dry the structure thoroughly and resolve the underlying moisture issue so mold has no reason to return.

Mold isn't just a cosmetic problem. It can aggravate allergies, asthma, and other respiratory conditions, and it can quietly damage your home's structure. That's why proper containment matters so much: cutting into mold without sealing the area first can spread spores far beyond the original problem.
Our team handles the full process the right way and documents it for your records and your insurer. If your mold resulted from a covered water loss, we'll work directly with your adjuster on the claim.
Mold Remediation FAQs
- How much does mold remediation cost?
- It depends on the size and severity of the affected area and what materials are involved. We assess first and give you a clear scope. If the mold resulted from a covered water loss, remediation is often covered by insurance, which we bill directly.
- Is mold remediation covered by insurance?
- Often, when the mold is the result of a covered water loss such as a burst pipe. Mold from long-term neglected leaks or humidity is usually not covered. We document everything to give your claim the best chance.
- How long does mold remediation take?
- Most residential mold jobs take 1–5 days depending on how widespread the mold is and how much material must be removed and dried. We confirm the area is dry to standard before we finish.
